HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD-DEE!!!! continued......

Today is my Dad-dee's birthday. So, I decided to pay trbiute to him & let you know why he is such a wonderful Dad-dee.

It is a wise father that knows his own child.
-William Shakespeare

Even though my Dad-dee is fortunate enough not to have to go to the office every day he still has to do some work from home. But, he always makes time for me. He will bring his work outside so we can play (on his computer-weeee). He makes me smile and lets me grab his nose. When we go to neighborhood parties he always likes to carry me around with him. And, no matter how much fun he may be having talking with the guys, when it is my bedtime, Dad-dee comes to get Mommy & says, "time to go, it is Peanuts bedtime". He always puts my needs first. He reads me great stories. Sometimes we lay around together just chatting. He gives me a bath, massage & bottle every night (unless he has to work). It is his favorite time with me...just me & my Dad-dee! He always wants to be included in everything Mommy & I do. He has not missed any of my doctors appointments since I was born (actually even before I was born). He held me when they kept taking blood (ouch!) from my little foot the first few weeks after I was born (I was a little jaundice). He makes everything all better. There are so many things my Dad-dee does for me. I am a lucky little girl. So, I just want to say thank you for not just having the title of Dad-dee, but truly 'being' a wonderful Dad-dee! "MY" Dad-dee!

6 MONTH CHECKUP

I went to my 6 month checkup on Thursday & my doctor said I am doing so well. I am approx. 14.3 lbs & over 26 inches long. Tall & lean like Dad-dee (Mommy is happy I inherited this from his side). Dr. 'F' says I am really strong..like an ox. Hmmm...What's an ox? He was vey pleased. I am right where I should be for my age. YEAH! It was neat to see all my little friends again. It was great to see all the different things we are doing. Most babies are rolling over both ways, a couple can sit up (for about 10 seconds), and one was even crawling a little! Wow! I have been rolling since I was 2 weeks old and I am getting closer to sitting up on my own ( not there yet...). I can definitely pivot & roll across the room. It seemed the big babies (20 pounders) were the ones sitting up already. Us little ones need more bottom weight I guess... hee hee. I've been meeting with them since we were all 2 weeks old! My pediatrician's group has these great classes ( 2wk, 2 mth, 4mth, 6mth, 9mth & 12 mth) which Mommy & Dad-dee take me. They learn all kinds of neat things about me. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing yet...hee hee. The doctor is giving all my secrets away. But, here I am with my friend, Aiden. Remember him from my 4 month class? Boy, has he grown! He is almost 20 lbs! His Mommy started him on rice cereal at 2 months! I just started my solid foods only 3 weeks ago....Mommy is wondering if I can go back to just her liquid gold again. She's not liking the new treasures I'm leaving in my diapers. Whew! Who knew butternut squash, sweet peas & sweet potatoes could be so stinky...hee hee!

This was at our 4 month checkup.

Has Modern Technology gone too far? At least when it comes to Elmo...

Mommy was telling me a story about how 10 years ago her sister (Auntie Dee -Dee) drove all over town & called everyone to help her find the original Tickle Me Elmo for my cousin Samantha. It was crazy. They were sold out everywhere. So, fast-forward more than 10 years & now Dad-dee thought it would be a good idea to get me the new Elmo TMX (his birthday is coming up on the 1st-maybe HE really wanted it for himself- hee hee). Mommy said she was not about to drive around town to hunt for a doll (sold out everywhere). So, with one click of the button on E-Bay (Mommy finds all kind of treasures on E-Bay) he arrives at my doorstep 2 days later...pretty easy. Mommy is not too sure about the new Elmo. She says he acts like he is on something...whatever that means. On his head maybe? She is glad he has an on/off switch. He is a little crazy, but makes me smile (and Dad-dee laughs hysterically). Mommy says, "the things we do for our children (& husbands)". Case in point..........

So, Mommy & I are scheming a plan for Dad-dee's birthday. Our favorite team, DALLAS COWBOYS, are playing on Sunday so we will have to plan around the game. It will be my Dad-dee's first birthday with me around. Should be lots of fun! Maybe I will wrap up one of my diapers for him- hee hee. No, I would not do that to my Dad-dee...or would I???? hee hee hee Stay tuned......

READING TIME!

My Mommy got me some more books today. Wow! So many to choose from now. Dad-dee is reading me The Bernstain Bears, The Spooky Tree (one of Mommy's favorite). I can't wait to see all the many different adventures I will go on. Now I know why Mommy & Dad-dee read so much. What fun!

Here I am with Priscilla again. Aren't I just the "cat's meow"? I know Prissy thinks I am. hee hee.

Now, how'd that foot get there? Hmmmmm.

I'M A WHOPPING 6 MONTHS OLD TODAY!

I turned 6 monts old today. Woo hoo! So, Mommy decides to go out for a few hours of shopping (mainly for me- hee hee) and leaves me in the care of Dad-dee! AHHHH! Party time! So, here are some pictures of how we spent the 4 hours (well actually 2...I slept for 2 hours). It always starts by taking my bows out of my hair. Dad-dee loves my "crazy hair". Then, I hang with my kitty, Priscilla. She loves me! Next, I move on to amusing myself with my feet. These things are so cool. We spend a lot of time playing on the floor & then we wrap it up with Mommy coming home finding me passed out (from exhaustion-hee hee) on Dad-dee. I survived him! Whew!

Mommy & ........Laura Ingalls?

So, Fall is upon us & Mommy sees fit to put this bonnet thingy on my head. She says it is to keep my head warm on our long walks & cover my ears. Dad-dee says I look like Laura Ingalls. Who is this person? I just know I'm not quite sure about the whole bonnet look. Im not sure it is the look Im going for. But I'll humor Mommy for now. How do you like my "Dr. Evil" pose. "I will hold Mommy hostage for 1 billion dollars". hee hee Oh, I will be 6 months old on the 17th. Woo hoo! Mommy also started me on oatmeal cereal (again..organic...my Mommy- hee hee). Wow, this stuff is good (better than the rice cereal stuff). I ate 3 bowls (don't get too excited, this was only about 2 1/2 Tbs)! Hey, it is a lot for me...Im just starting out.

Morgan...starring in "The Grudge"

Be sure your volume is turned up for this one. I brought the camera in when the lights were still out so you could hear her. The lights will come on later. This is how she wakes up. Never crying. She just makes funny sounds, plays with her feet & talks to herself. Our dear friends Kim & Tim have a favorite scary movie called The Grudge- ha ha. Gregg used to call Tim up at night & make the scary sounds from the movie attempting to creep him out. So, Tim, this one is for you. We're training her early.

MY FIRST FOOD!!!

YEAH! Today I had my first taste of wonderful things to come. Mommy fed me some rice cereal (of course it was organic...that's my Mommy). Mommy & Daddy said I did a really good job. Some actually got in my tummy. It was pretty fun. I made a great big mess. Yeah! My Gran always said, "meal time should be happy time". Oh, Mommy said to tell everyone Im sure you have already noticed the sound doesn't exactly match the video...some flaw in the uploading. Enjoy!

MORGAN"S SONG

My Mommy's favorite movie is Willy Wonka (the classic version with Gene Wilder). From the day I was born she started singing her favorite song from the movie (& has Daddy singing it to me as well). They sing it every night at bath time & when I get my massage. Or they sing it to me if I am upset. It is very calming & always makes me feel better.
