2 LITTLE PUMPKINS IN A PUMPKIN PATCH

FLASHBACK- This is last year's pumpkin patch visit. Sydney was not very happy with the whole ordeal. Last year's measurements.

This is when Morgan was 18 months old. Our little angel has grown so much.

Morgan was 7 months old here. Oh, the things we do to our kids for a photo opp. Sorry sweetie.

PUMPKIN PATCH 2009- It was a great day! The girls had a blast & we had fun watching them. Oh, to be so young again!

This is Morgan's favorite part of the Pumpkin patch...the pony ride. This is her 6th pony ride since last year. They have a farm nearby that we are going to start taking the girls to ride.

Mommy pulled it off! She threw a surprise party for Dad-dee's big 40! It was a long time in the making. He had a great time and was surrounded by lots of wonderful friends! Thanks everyone for helping Mommy pull off the surprise! This was the shirt nanny Kelli & Jenny made for Dad-dee! It has their picture on the front and the back says " Dinner for two...$100 Babysitter... $50 Knowing your children are safe...PRICELESS!" Too funny! The Birthday Boy!

Wow! Has it really been a month?

I can't believe I have gotten so slack on my updates. The girls are growing up so fast! Morgan is in preschool and taking the bus! Ahhh!!! I didn't think 'I' could do it but she really seems to love the bus. She climbs right on and has a big smile on her face. I asked that she be put in a carseat though. So, that makes me feel better. It is so hard putting the care of your child into someone elses hands. Of course this mother hen is a fly on the wall at school. They have an obervation room where Morgan can't see us & we go & watch her class very often. It is great seeing how well she is doing. She grew alot over the summer & her teacher said she is doing great in school.

Sydney is a whirling dervish! She is running, climbing, talking and just plain silly. She is a character. Did I mention climbing? She climbs anything she can get to, she trys to climb at home (notice I emphasize 'TRY' - I gotta stay on her like white on rice), jungle gyms, slides, etc... She is quickly catching up to her big sister. Amazing to watch her.She is such a happy girl (like Morgan). But, we really gotta watch her. Morgan spoiled us by being so easy. She did not get into too much but Sydney...oh boy! She has a strong will...but Mommy's is stronger :) Thank God!We still call her the sreeching birdchild as you will see in the video. Funny, how she started doing this at about 4 months old- but not all the time thank goodness. Don't know if I could keep my sanity if I had screamers in the house.

So, our last blog entry was a little white lie. Dad-dee did not go to Turkey (gobble-gobble) for a month. Mommy just wrote that so Gran would think he would be out of the country for her 70th birthday. hee hee! Little did she know Dad-dee was flying across country to New Jersey to surprise her. Boy, was she surprised! With a lot of help from family & friends we pulled off a great weekend full of surprises (even though we could not personally be there)! They had surprise dinners & lunches and the big surprise was a 7 day cruise. Woo hoo! Wish we could go too. Gran is going with Grammy (Mommy's mom) on the cruise. They will have so much fun!Well, Gran, I think we pulled off a great surprise. We hope you had a lovely birthday- just wish we could have been there to give you big hugs & kisses in person. Dad-dee says work is sending him to Turkey (afterall). But, we told him it is not Thanksgiving yet. He says Turkey is a country. Huh? We just know he will be gone. Yuk, and during summer again too. We were hoping he would be home this August but it looks like he won't. Oh well! Mommy will keep us busy....or do we keep her busy? hee hee! Enjoy the pics!

OUR NEW ADDITION

We wanted to introduce everyone to the new addition to our family. This is Gus (or Gus-Gus) as we call him. He is a toy Shitzu (will only weigh about 8 lbs when he grows up). He is such a sweet pup. Very mild tempered & extremely loving. The girls are loving him and he is loving them as well. The cats are not quite sure what to make of him but don't seem to mind very much. I was very surprised. He really wants to play with them but I think they need a little time to make sure he knows who rules the roost. Sydney & her puppy.

Auntie Dee-Dee used her magic to get these pictures of us in Florida. We had lots of fun!

Here are Sydney's 1 year stats:

Height: 29 1/2"

Weight: 21.13 lbs

She is such a great little eater. She wants to feed herself all the time. Veggies being her main staple- she devours them. Her favorites being butternut squash, yams, peas, & carrots. She also loves Mommy's homemade chicken noodle soup (yes, organic of course). Fruits are a close second with mandarins, blueberries, pears, prunes & grapes. Does not like bananas. Neither does Morgan...I think it is a texture thing. The one thing she does not like that Morgan can't get enough of is avocado. Oh! She is also walking everywhere!! She is such a happy little girl. Not only does she look just like her Dad-dee but she also has his expressions...even his scowl. She definitely got his eyebrows to do the perfect scowl. Too funny!

Ok, finally Mommy is getting our pictures on the blog from our Florida trip. She says she never has the time anymore. Can't imagine why? She always has time to be with us...hmmm...

My Mommy always says, "no more monkeys jumping on the bed" but as soon as she turned her back Grammy & Auntie Dee-Dee let us jump & jump & jump...weeeeee! Mommy was not to happy about it. hee hee
Auntie Dee-Dee gave us a good scare while we were visiting. She had to have emergency surgery so it was my job to make sure she stayed off her feet & ate healthy meals. Here I am feeding her Kashi. "Now open wide Dee-Dee...that's a good girl".

I got to sleep in a big girl bed while I was at Grammy's place. Bunkbeds actually. This day I decided to play before napping & ended up falling asleep on the floor. This Florida sun wears a girl out!

SCHOOL DAYS

I started preschool a few weeks ago. Here I am on my way to my first day. This is my classroom and my teacher Ms Wendy. I have a huge classroom with only 9 kids. I get lots of attention. I am really chatting up a storm now. I really like school and I am learning so much.

Today is my 3rd Birthday! Woo hoo! Mommy & Dad-dee threw me a party at my favorite place. My friends were there to make my celebration extra special! Thank you everyone! I had so much fun. We all played really hard. Mommy said most of my friends took naps that day. hee hee! Play 'til ya drop!

This is my new tower climber. It has a great slide and a little fort underneath. It is so much fun. I can slide 50 times in a row. Really! Mommy counted! Woo hoo!!!!

Grammy had to go bye bye! Boy, did we have fun with her. I don't think she stopped playing with us the whole time she was here. We love our Grammy very much! Thank you for coming to stay with us! We miss you so much!

Dad-dee had to go ona trip for 5 weeks! UGH! But Grammy ( Momm'y mom) came to help. Yeah!!! But here, I watch over Grammy & Sydney to make sure they are doing ok. Gran (Dad-dee's Mommy) sent me this great new purse.

Gosh, I can't find a thing in this darn purse! Oh, what's a girl to do?

Gran also sent a microphone. I will be sure to practice my vocals at least once a day!

It has been a little while but we're back to blogging! I have certainly kept things lively for Mommy & Dad-dee! New Year's Eve was very memorable......see I decided to get Croup & make my first visit to the Emergency room. I was in bad shape. I was having a lot of difficulty breathing & had fever of 104' so off we went to the ER. Because of my breathing issues we did not wait at all. They took me right in & after 3 hours I was home resting peacefully. Whew! Boy, did I give Mommy & Dad-dee a scare. I sounded like a frog for a few days but I got my spring back in my step pretty fast.
Aside from that, I have been a busy little bee. Play, play,play.....

Also, Mommy & Dad-dee have been looking at pre-schools for me. Can't believe I will be 3 in less than 2 months.

Dad-dee has to go on a long trip (5 weeks). I am going to miss him terribly. My favorite word is Dad-dee. At least Grammy is coming to see me for 2 weeks. Yeah!!! I can't wait!

Here I am with my sister, Syndey & my Gran. She came to be with us at Christmas. Yeah!!!

Santa brought me lots of musical toys this year. Here I am playing my piano flute (actually from my Grammy). I love it!
Gran got me my own digital camera. Now if I could just get pictures of something besides the floor. hee hee!

I love putting silly hats on everyone. I think this one will look great on my Gran.

LET IT SNOW!! This is the most snow Mommy & Dad-dee have seen since they moved to Washington in 1996. We got a LOT!!! It was pretty but not much fun to drive in. Mommy said our snow plow in town must use rubber spatulas to attempt to clear the roads. hee hee Here is our waterfall...well frozenfall.

Grammy sent Morgan a bunch of fun dress up clothes. This is her favorite hat. We call it the 'pimp daddy' hat. I know, not an appropriate name but it fits. hee hee Poor Sydney. This is just a foreshadow of things to come. Yesterday I found her trying to feed her little Goldfish crackers. I turn around & there is a Goldfish hanging out of Sydney's mouth. Oh my! I can't turn my back for even a second.
