CHRISTMAS 2006

Here I am on my first Christmas. Wow, so many presents, so little time to open them (I had to take an intermission for a morning nap). Thank you to all my family & friends for the lovely gifts. I just don't know what to do with myself. I had so much fun opening them.

'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS...

So, it is Christmas Eve and I am with Mommy, Dad-dee & Grammy. I got to open one gift (family tradition). So, I opened my gift from my friend Connor. It is a beautiful butterfly & she sings to me. Her wings even move. Thank you! After I opened my gift, Dad-dee read me 'Twas The Night Before Christmas. I really liked it! Then it was off to bath, bottle & bedtime. Here I am in my tub ( G rated). Tonight is the first night I got to sit up by myself in my tub. Im a big girl now. I could have done it sooner but Mommy & Dad-dee just now took my insert out. Weeeee! Rub-a-dub-dub. Well, Merry Christmas everyone!!! Hope yours is as special as mine will be. xoxoxox

HO HO HO!

Here I am at my Daddy's Squadron Christmas party. This Santa guy has a great beard to pull on. Hey, I did not pull on it until he put my hands in his beard & said it was ok. I am a lady afterall. But, give me an inch and...hiiiii- ya!!! I think I got one of his curls on my second tug (look closely). hee hee

Yeah......POWER!!!!!!!!!!!

This is going to be short. We have been without power since Thursday night at 11 pm (came back on this morning at 11 am Sunday). A horrible storm came through here & knocked down trees everywhere. We are so grateful to have electricity again. The gas fireplace & stove were a Godsend but central heat is the bomb. Little Miss Morgan has looked like the little boy from the movie, "A Christmas Story". Remember, the big red snow suit he wore & could hardly move. Yup, that was our little Miss Morgan. 3 layers to stay warm. I have to say, be grateful for the simple things we take for granted every day...like POWER!!! It truly makes life easier. More to follow..........

LIFE IS AS IT SHOULD BE!

My Dad-dee is home. Calvin (my kitty) & I could not be happier!

Dad-dee is trying to get back into the swing of my routine. The feeding may take a few practice sessions. hee hee

But, he never needs practice entertaining me. He got me the Grinch & I love to watch the expressions he makes. He sounds just like Mr. Grinch. It makes me smile. I love my Dad-dee. He is the best ever!!!!

Surprise Mommy!!! Dad-dee is home from Africa!

Weeeeee!!!! Dad-dee surprised us and came home for Mommy's birthday. Boy, was she surprised! Best birthday present ever!!!! Well, next to me, that is...hee hee! I was so happy to see Dad-dee! Even though he was gone for 30 days, I sure remembered him. He sang my favorite song & I just smiled & laughed! He brought us all kinds of neat gifts from Africa. I especially like my stuffed leopard. He is so soft.
Welcome home Dad-dee!!!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Mommy keeps singing this silly birthday song thingy to me. She says it is her birthday (not sure what all this hoopla is about but, oh well). Anyway, it is fun to watch her sing and it makes me laugh. So, sing away Mommy!
I like it. Dad-dee comes home in 2 days!! Woo hoo!

Calvin misses Dad-dee too!

Poor Calvin. Could he be any more pathetic? Dad-dee, you better get home soon. Calvin is going through terrible Dad-dee withdrawls. He keeps trying to find substitutes for your lap but no success. He even tries to cuddle up with me when Mommy feeds me.

Hi Dad-dee!!!!!

Here I am watching the video Dad-dee made me before leaving for Africa. He is reading my 2 favorite books (Green Eggs & Ham and 10 Little Lady Bugs). He is so animated when he reads. I just love to watch him. It makes me smile and bowls me over. hee hee I can't wait for you to come home Dad-dee!!! 6 more days. Yeah!!! Hey Dad-dee, I'm thinking about baking a cake for Mommy's birthday Friday...what do ya think? Ok, maybe I'll just share my fruit & oatmeal with her...how 'bout that?

IM SITTING ALL BY MYSELF!

Look at me!!

WHAT A GREAT VISIT!!!

It was a wonderful visit with my Grammy. What a busy week. It was filled with many firsts.
-My first rainbow showed up the day Grammy arrived.
-I sat up all by myself for the first time (I was doing it a little but more like a tripod) while she was here. Actually, it had a lot to do with Grammy's help. She worked really hard with me.
-Then, my first snow. I am not sure what it is, but it looks & feels neat. Very cold Brrrrrrr!
Here is the desk Grammy got for me. Mommy rigged my Bumbo chair so I would sit higher (on my own). Amazing what you can do with an electric knife & foam. Then, Calvin (kitty) decided (on Grammy's last night) to supervise my bedtime feeding. I think Grammy has it down, Calvin.
-I hold my bottle all by myself! I start with my cup this week Yeah!
- I had my first haircut. The comb-over was not working for me. Boy, Daddy is in for a real treat when he gets home. Wait until he tries to change my diaper or clothes on my changing table. I am all over the place! I have discovered rolling gets me where I need to go (ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE ROOM)! hee hee

LOOK! No hands!

Ummmm, people...it's COLD out here!!!!
